Job Title: Engagement Manager – National Security Sector

2. Job Description:

We seek driven, outcome-oriented Engagement Managers to join our client’s delivery team. Engagement Managers lead projects by setting, directing, and executing against customer requirements, project objectives, and account strategies to deliver value to national security clients. As project leads, Engagement Managers oversee project direction, expansion, and growth, working with senior client relationships and high-visibility deployments of our client's SaaS platform and Advisory Services.

Engagement Managers collaborate closely with Analyst and Implementation Teams to ensure client success. They leverage their domain expertise to architect solutions, ensure smooth execution, and foster platform adoption. As trusted advisors, they continuously drive account growth by delivering value and addressing client challenges.

This is a full-time position based in Arlington, VA, and may require up to 50% travel.

3. Job Required Tasks:

  • Deliver impactful business and mission results for clients.

  • Utilize our client’s analytic capabilities to develop persistent, data-driven client solutions.

  • Partner with sales teams to understand client needs, scope new work, and create work statements.

  • Develop and manage engagement work plans and resource allocation.

  • Lead complex analytic projects, data, and software deployments.

  • Manage senior-level client relationships and high-quality project execution to exceed client expectations.

  • Present insights to executives concisely and compellingly.

  • Mentor, train, and provide quality assurance for Business Analysts.

  • Translate client challenges into software use cases.

  • Drive adoption of our client’s solutions and ensure ongoing platform usage.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to tailor our client’s SaaS platform to user needs.

  • Gain a deep understanding of client workflows to inform data and technology configurations.

  • Identify and scope expansion opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Regularly assess team performance to minimize cognitive biases and enhance products and processes.

4. Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • 4+ years of experience in client engagement, preferably in consulting.

  • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: national security strategy and policy, supply chain risk management, industrial base assessments, technology scouting, federal budgeting and procurement, government contracting; OR experience in management consulting, advisory services, SaaS, information services, analytical tools, or data analytics.

  • Strong business acumen with a professional demeanor and adaptability.

  • Proven ability to present complex information effectively, particularly for national security clients.

  • Demonstrated history of exceptional performance.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and learn quickly.

Desired Skills:

  • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one with sponsorship.

  • Experience with startup or entrepreneurial environments.

  • MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution.
